Membership to The Salty Potters club includes access to the Clayground studio during Open Studio hours beginning immediately upon joining. New members have up to 30 days to complete the required Orientation.
Members should purchase clay and glaze cards through this website, with in-person pickup available at the Clayground. To ensure firing consistency and help protect all work in the kilns, members are required to use clay purchased through the Clayground. Outside glazes may be used only after completing the studio’s test glaze approval process.
All pottery and ceramic pieces created by members are fired at no additional charge.
The Salty Potters club is a welcoming and supportive community, and experienced members are often available to help guide new members through beginner projects. Studio monitor volunteers are available during Open Studio hours to guide members on basic studio processes.
For safety and equipment care, members who wish to use the pottery wheels must either complete a wheel-throwing class or pass a wheel qualification test before independent wheel use is permitted.
